Due to New Zealand’s time-zone, retail stores in the country have gotten Windows Vista before the rest of the world.
“local users have access to the operating system a couple of hours before Australians, thirteen hours before Britons, and almost a full day ahead of American users. The Midnight Launch was held at Dick Smith Electronics Powerhouse, 5 Ronwood Avenue, Manukau City, Auckland. A Microsoft New Zealand team was present at the store to answer questions.”
Tomorrow (January 30th), American consumers will be able to buy Windows Vista in retail stores.
Also in tech news, Dell has now made Vista available on their systems.
Dell quietly made Vista available to consumers buying new computers, and the price is still the same on all the systems (no difference between computers bought with Windows XP and Windows Vista).
Microsoft Launched a New Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows page.
The new pages are updated and are all about Vista now that the operating system has been released.
The new page looks more “clean” and “professional”.

The new home page has strikingly similar features (not graphics wise) that the Apple home page does. Navigational buttons on the top….a video presentation about their products right below that…lol
