The vast majority of news that we here at OSX-E.com deliver is primarily aimed towards Windows and Mac users. Well what about Linux users? I may not be able to use a Linux-enabled computer (I will once I get my Macbook and thus will extend the range of articles posted here to encompass the three major OSs out there) but I know a good deal when I see one.
Several OS X-based docks for Linux have been created, however one trumps the rest of them! And that’s the Kiba dock.
The Kiba dock is designed to expand Beryl (the popular window manager for Linux) to new extremes. The dock functions similarly to the OS X dock however it does far much more in terms of fun. You can take all of the icons and, say, make them into a lasso and spin them around on the desktop! Quite pointless but for the people who get bored often, it may cure your boredom.
Unfortunately I am not qualified to explain how the dock works, but a simple search of “Kiba Dock” in google will yield several videos.

This dock app might actually get me to leave Compiz and switch to Beryl instead. Kiba Dock is a really cool… toy. I’ve seen some videos showing it’s capabilities. Quite amazing.
