Anyone remember Ultimate Extras? No? I didn’t think so. Ultimate Extras was one of the incentives for springing the extra cash it cost to “GO ULTIMATE!!!” (sorry, when I think of people getting Vista Ultimate, I think of people falling for those ridiculously annoying commercials with the big echoey “ACT NOW!” voices… “GO ULTIMATE!”). Ultimate Extras were going to be downloadable programs that would have been exclusively available to those with Vista Ultimate on their machines. Well, since Vista was released, Microsoft has released one (admittedly sucky) Poker game.
So today, the director of Vista Ultimate, Barry Goffe apologized by saying sorry for, “taking so long to provide a status update to customers.” This will be one of those things I bring up when Windows users ask why I’m so smug about Apple.
Admit it, even some Windows fanboys have to giggle a little bit about this one…

same as the iphone being a good phone (no custom ringtones, bad call quality, reception)
as rumour said they will add those things as updates, come on.
Eh don’t forget Windows Dreamscene.
Yes I know it has been hacked to work on other versions too, but EFS\Bitlocker are ultimate extra’s too.
So not only the poker game.
And i am happy with my version of ultimate.
I agree with you Silfer.. Do not forget about Dreamscene and bitlocker, and give MS a break, they’ve got a lot of stuff to do, the updates come when they come, I am also very happy with my Ultimate Edition
well, thats one reason i’m still using xp.
