Mac OS X 10.4.10 Final Update?

author alang

Since I bought my Mac in February I’ve had to download two service packs for it. Compared to the almost weekly updates from Windows I experienced, this could either be a welcome experience because the big updates are so rare, or it could be annoying because it’s a tenth service pack.

10.4.10 to me means that 10.5 is almost here. Hopefully, this is the last update before Leopard in October. They are fixing very minor details. It’s taking “attention to detail” to the very extreme. With 10.4.9 one of the things they fixed was how long you had to press the eject key to make your disc appear out of the optical drive. This update, they are even more minor.

Honestly, someone could be fine with 10.4.5. But, here we are. Service Pack 10. Or 10.4.9 SP1 as I saw on one forum’s comment section. It just means Leopard’s almost here and hopefully no more delays.

Hmm, I don’t think you can compare those OSX “Service Packs” with Windows Service Packs…
They’re more big update packs to avoid users to be needed to download 90+ patches after he installs the latest OSX version ;)

Too bad this 10.4.10 version came out, 10.4.9 should have been a good last Tiger version :p
