Intel to Launch Quad-Core Chips on November 13

The company is in a race with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Intel will launch new qaud-core processors on November 13th. Just in time for the Holidays.

The new Intel processors with be packaged with new Hewlett-Packard workstations.

It is possible that the Mac Pro will get an upgrade to these new processors. Although, it might be possible for current Mac Pro users to upgrade chips (as seen here).
