Apple recalls 1.8 million batteries

author alang

Apple Computer is recalling 1.8 million batteries that use Sony’s battery cell technology, it announced Thursday.

Although the recall is not as large as Dell’s last-week battery recall, Apple’s recall affects users of its iBook G4 and PowerBook G4 laptop models sold between October 2003 and August 2006, according to the Consumer Products Safety Commission.

Information can be found about this at 1-800-275-2273 or visiting an Apple Web page for the recall.

Gaah! I think my iBook is part of this recall..
Now I’m worried if my Mac will explode…
This makes you think… is Apple’s product integrity that good? Because I have had to order a new AC cable for my iBook because the one that came with my Mac frayed about 4 months after I bought it. (the fraying occured about a week ago) So this creates a lot more questions about Apple’s product integrity.
