A rumor was reported today that Jay-Z is in talks with Apple to maybe start a record label. This is legally possible just because Beyonce is leaving Sony, and Apple Corps has recently settled with Apple Inc. giving Apple all uses of the Apple trademark. The only question is what’s to become of Def Jam, the record label that Jay-Z is CEO of and that Universal owns.
