Acer Ferrari 5000 Pictures

Today Acer announced the Ferrari 5000 and 1000 notebooks.

The Ferrari 1000 is a 12.1″ screen notebook featuring the Turion X2 dual-core 64-bit processor while the Ferrari 5000 is a 15.4-inch desktop replacement style notebook with the Turion X2. The new Ferrari notebooks will sport a carbon fiber case asusual and will support the HD-DVD optical drive.Current specifications for the Acer 5000:

  • Processor: AMD Turion 64 X2
  • 15.4″ screen
  • 1.3 Megapixel web camera built-in
  • Acer InviLik 802.11 a/b/g wireless
  • Bluetooth 2.0
  • Up to 160GB HD
  • Choice between slot loading DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive or HD-DVD drive
  • 5-in-1 media card reader built-in
  • Carbon Fiber casing
  • Acer VoIP Bluetooth phone bundled

Whilst speaking to Chris Aarons from AMD at the Vista Beta 2 lab here in Amsterdam we were able to get some exclusive pictures of the 5000.
