My laptop talkes about 10 minutes to start! My desktop takes 5 minutes and it has so much more startups!!! Is there a way to fix this?

Also, when I use my keyboard's hibernation shortcut, it'll hiberenate over and over again. Not that this matters, but I want an easy way to pause my computer.

Right-click on "Local Disc" in My Computer, click "Format".

Install Windows XP.

Pat yourself on the back.

I would say it could be the jumper but your using a notebook. I had a issue with my computer were for some odd reason I always work with the jumper in master but it was working slow booting into the OS. Even the windows loading music wouldn't play for like 10 or so mins.
I removed the jumper and it was able to boot quicker.

It sounds like your laptop need a reformat. Its not hard to do, and somehow you could find a way to do it with a bit of help. Make backups of the desktop, customization things, documents and music.

Format it, it surely will be fixed.

I agree with all of the above.

1-You should do a backup of ur Disc (all ur important files) and reinstall Windows even if it hurts. (Trust me i have been there twice)

or

2-Take out a lot of shit you dont need from your computer.

That doesn't sound nessecery, plus it will be quite expensive (you'll need to hire some one to upgrade).

Go into CWINDOWS\ and then delete everything in the folder "Cache". Delete the stuff in that folder.

Your boot will be a bit slow, just restart a couple of times.

Deleting cache maybe could work, but i strongly recommend a reformat.
If you have money, you can upgrade your RAM [i don't know the specs of your lap]

Or throw that laptop into the trash can and buy a new one...
