As most of you know, osx-e is being around for almost two years, as a place where you can get all mac emulation files. All this while, I'm using my pocket money and revenue from google ads for site maintenance ie. hosting, 3 domain names, forum & gallery software license.

Me and the admin/mod also had spend lots of time in the website in order to make this site the best and friendly mac emulation sites. Each day, I'd spent more and more times for the website and currently, I'd spent at least 5 hours a day updating the website, anwering email, check for the broken links, looking for new files.

The number of visitors also increase where currently this site received about 6,000 visitors a day with bandwidth usage averagely at 10Gb a day and maximum 20Gb a day.

Within few months, I'd to move osx-e to dedicated server because current VPS that I'm using to host the site is using its maximum resources and can't be upgrade anymore. With the dedicated server, we will have more space, more bandwidth with faster connection.

We had try to raise the funds from the ads but seems like most of the visitors just choose to block it. In order for us to maintain this site, I'd put a donation links at the bottom of frontpage and forum page for those who would like to make a donation to this site if you think this site is useful for you and want to see here for a long time. Donation can be as little as $1, but for those who donate more than $10 will get a contributor badge like this

There is a small Donation button at the bottom of everypage. Just click on that button, and you will be able to donate.

The donation button is only at the bottom of frontpage and forum page. It looks like this

You should set up donations to go through the IPB subscription manager. That way, members will be automatically upgraded to "Contributor" after donating $10.

I think that is a GREAT idea! Alang, DO THIS NOW!!! hehehehee...

@khalua - thanks for the contribution. You've got your badge now. I'm thinking of giving more rewards to the contributor like priority download, special forum where all your question will be quickly answer by admin/mod and few other things that I'm still have in plan and will discuss it with the admin. But for the time being, you'll get a badge and an option to use custom members title and more space in gallery
