It's way different to what it was before. Not saying its a bad thing, however I'm not really liking the huge amount of space left out for the user area in each post. The classic left-side placement is the way to go, IMHO. But then again, it's your site not mine, so up to you.
Generally I'm not having any problems here so far, except that the dropdown menus lag a lot.
I too used to like the User-details to the left style. This is just a waste of space, it also leads to certain bugs in display on browsers such as Opera and Konqueror (not always, though, layout gets garbled, etc).

No! The new layout with user-details on the left is even worse....The main problem is, the details pane is almost one fourth of the whole pane, either make it a bit narrow and/or make the message display area much wider. It actually looks worse than the on-top layout,

Yes I know it looks worse. I am currently thinking on redesigning this site again. Just contact few top notch designers for this. And, I will be back to basic, which is make a design that emulate mac os x looks for the whole site including forum and gallery.
