Considering buying a laptop for university. Something small, with a managable system since I don't need a very powerful system. Any suggestions? I'm an XP users is it harder to use Apple?

Cool
Yeah, Asus is doing a great job in building laptops now. Take a look at this beauty and you will see what I mean. But just a little comment, brand shouldn't be the only factor to take into consideration when buying a laptop. Consider perfomance specs such as processor type and speed, ram memory, HD, battery live and weight (you dont want to be carrying around something to heavy or big).

why don't you buy a 12" powerbook?
without the superdrive, it just coasts about 1200$ and less if you let the wireless lan features and son on out

powerBook is mac osx - mac osx is apple - apple is the best.

I strongly recommend an Apple iBook. The system is much easier to use than windows. It might take a little getting used to at first since you're switching from Windows, but once you're used to it, it's much easier to use.

A friend just got one of these babies averatec 1050 man it is so nice for a student... so very nice... i would highly recommend it and i know that she would too, if your hands are not HUGE the smaller keyboard is OK. Tomshardware gave it a "must have" rating and PCMAG found the customer satisfaction of Averatec buyers in the readers survey as 3rd highest. On ebay you can get them for around 1000bux US which inludes wifi dvd etc etc! i know all this crap cause i was the one who researched it for her!

hope this helps!

The cool thing about Macs is they save a headache you would otherwise have with windows. At least that's my experience. And they're so secure and based on rock solid UNIX.

In fact, you can go here to help decide.
