How do I ..
Hello everyone ,
how do I boot a Cd from disk at startup in a mac Ibook g3 ??
I tried to hold down the C button at startup but it doesn't work .
Is there any command that I can enter from the Terminal to shut down my system and reboot from disk ?
Please help me , I just got from Ebay mac OS Panther and each time i press the "install osx "icon a message appear and says " Click the button below to restart your computer and begin the installation process " then I click the button but when the computer restart , restart normally with my old OS 10.1.5.


please help .

nevermind I finally got it to boot , thanks dudes
Now i've installed panther , and it's totally another planet , I love it

I just selected the disk from "startupdisk " in the system preferences , it reebot my ibook with the installation panel of Panther and it worked immediately ...

hmmmm it's me again , my screensaver doesn't work . It works only when i press "test" in the screen saver window , but when the computer goes in standby instead of getting the screensaver ,the screen turns black (like it's off , but it's not ) ...what is wrong with it ?
I have flurry in my screen savers list and I love it but I can't get it to work .....
I'm looking forward for your help .

Try control pannel/power options/make sure all the settings are on never.
Set your screensaver to come on after 1 minuit (just for testing purposes) and see if it works
