Question A Few More Minor Tweaks (HELP)
Hey, my name's Andy. I just recently used FlyakiteOSX to change my windows desktop into a decent looking Mac look-a-like. I also added ObjectDock Plus as a bonus.

My only problem is that the dock stays ontop, whereas I would like the windows to be maximized just above the dock (hopefully that makes sense). Also, I thought I read somewhere that there's some way to move the maximize, minimize, and close buttons to the left of the windows like they would be in a Mac. Also, if you have any other suggestions or recommended software, let me know. Thanks!

I don't know if this is the right forum to ask for help, but if I could get some help, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! Also, feel free to PM me.

Re: A Few More Minor Tweaks (HELP)
First of all, you might want to switch to RocketDock or Rklauncher (I'd prefer the former) from ObjectDock. They're freeware and faster plus easier to use.

To make the dock stay below the other windows, hunt around in it's settings for an option called "Always on top" and disable it. To make other windows maximize to just above the dock, use this software (http://www.hawkeyetech.com/products/freeware.htm), it's also free to use and comes with prebuilt scripts to help you understand how to use it.

To get a one-to-one mac look (left side buttons and all) you'll have to use Windowblinds and not the Visual Style that FAK supplies. Search if you want to know more, enough's been said before.

Other software you might want to try out are Avedesk, Objectbar and Winexpose. The first for widgets, the second for a mac like taskba-cum-menubar, and the third for the mac expose effect.

Post here if you have other questions but remember to search before that, a lot of newbie questions have been answered before.

And btw, Welcome to Osx-e !

Here's a free app for just this, http://hsiw.web.fc2.com/
Enjoy,
