Ok, i was messing around with the folder options and what the default like open folders stuff is, and explore (the default open folder) thing like doesnt work and it says i dont have access to it! i tried making a new one linked to explorer.exe and stuff but it opens it in a new window which is a huge pain. theres an "open in same window" option but the check box is grayed out! urrrg can someone help me whoah thats trippy kind of, it looks like a real dialog box popped up . but yes thats a screenshot of what it says

I'm not really sure what you are asking about because you really didn't make yourself very clear. Your Explorer is messed up? That doesn't really sound good. So when you go to "Start - All Programs - Accessories - Windows Explorer you get that error message? Maybe just try TaskKilling Explorer (make sure you dont have ANY programs running while doing this). Then use the Task Maneger to restart explorer. I'm not sure if this will hope though.



Ctrl - Alt - Delete

Click the "Processes" Tab

Click the "User Name" Tab

Select "Explorer" listed under your user name

Press the "End Process" Button

Press "Yes"

Click the "Applications" Tab

Press the "New Task..." Button

In the Drop Down Box, type in explorer.exe

Press OK

See if you can use Windows Explorer.
