Community Emulation Guide
Hey,

I thought we could make, as a community, a huge Mac-emulation guide. Users would make small articles and they would all be combined to make one huge article.

It would be published in PDF format with screenshots and organized pages (like Yet Another Guide v2.1). It would be modeled after Leopard.

I didn't post this in the articles section because I didn't know if you guys would want to contribute to it.

I'm thinking we could start making this once Leopard comes out (October), by then we'll know more about skinning Vista and the features/UI Leopard has.

I think this could be pretty could, a lot easier then previous ideas lol

Check out this guide: http://www.tweakguides.com/TGTC.html

My idea is something like that, but all about Mac-emulation. Since we have so many people emulating Mac, I think we'd be able to fill a lot of pages on a lot of different topics.

I think it's a great idea, and i'm gonna think about writing an article (for Win XP, if that's still possible)

Re: Community Emulation Guide
That would be a great idea. It could be implemented like one webpage where users can edit anytime (like a wiki, maybe) and periodically it could be converted to pdf format for downloads. Though I don't know if it's possible to do that. It would be really useful for noobs like me, though, when we begin our quest fo perfect mac-emulation, lol

Re: Community Emulation Guide
Well I don't know about Wikis, certain people like to come in and mess them up (like spammers).

Re: Community Emulation Guide
I know, but with an involved community, would that be possible? I don't think so. But I did not entirely mean a wiki anyway. I just want a place where regeistered(?) members could edit and add articles. And the, like maybe weekly, the articles could be made into one large pdf for offline stuff. Though if that don't work, even then it would still be a great idea. Are you planning to implement it, though?

Re: Community Emulation Guide
my thought also is that we could create a blog on wordpress or something, and then when people want to contribute, then they just drop a comment. sound good? like perhaps www.osx-emu.wordpress.com or so on, you know? but we could also just do a thread here...
