perdomot is on a distinguished road
I've tried using Aveicon to convert pngs to icons but there is a black background around the new icons which ruins the effect. Am I doing something wrong or is there a proper way/program to use? Thanks.

Dremation has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I had the same problem. I stoped windowblinds, and they came out fine. WB does something to they way windows handles alpha transparency.

Well, I'm not using WB so it can't be that. I may try Icon Workshop if its freeware.

I've downloaded your icon and looks ok on my computer

[attachmentid=555]

I did see the black border when using Explorer with "Small Views" (don't know if this is the correct name, my OS is in Spanish... I'm referring to the options you have for viewing your files: full detail, list, icons, mosaic, miniatures...) but if i select any of the other it looks perfect.

Hope this helps...
