I just went to the iTunes music store and bought the song "Hypnotize" by System of a Down. I wanted to burn this song to a CD-R, but it wont work! It will freeze right after it says "Checking Playlist...". I removed the song Hypnotize frome the playlist and it didn't freeze (cancelled it so I still have a blank CD). Put the Hypnotize song back it there and it froze.
The problem is Hypnotize is a Protected ACC audio file, so I can only listen to it with iTunes or an iPod (I don't even have an iPod) which really pisses me off. I just wasted my money and now I cannot listen to it anywhere else besides my computer.
Anyone know how I can burn this to a CD? This is very annoying..
If it's protected that means it would be against the law to burn it to a CD-R, doesn't it? I might as well be wrong, though. Still seems a bit harsh, since you paid for it.
You can make an MP3 from ANY audio sample, just take your time and RECORD the sound using the "Mixer" or "Wave output" source in the record options (sndvol32.exe). Just take that file, PLAY it in iTunes, and RECORD it in any wave recording app... then save it like MP3. Done.
