Okay so I'm thinking about purchasing a 19inch LCD display but really am having a hard time deciding whether to buy a widescreen or regular. Main problem. Wallpapers can sometimes be difficult to find for a widescreen resolution. Mainly movie wallpaper. It's got native res of like 1440x900. Awkward resolution but the regular one would suit the wallpaper needs but I'm wondering if there is any great benefit to having a widescreen over a traditional one?

Any advice?

You can turn your monitor around and look at long spreadsheets or docs. It also has a more cinematic feeling to it when watching movies.

What prices are you looking for? around my area a BenQ FP202W cost around $248 CND.

I found some really nice ones for around $200-$250. It's a tough decision since I also need a harddrive and am considering getting a tv tuner as well since I don't own a TV and it would be nice to just record to my computer.

A widescreen display is always better. About the wallpapers... I think that is the 10% of the real benefit lol. U can photohsop the walls to change its resolution. Go ahead for the widescreen option!
