Resize Image files with a right click menu





The Image Resizer Powertoy from Microsoft allows you to resize one or many image files with a right-click. You can download this Powertoy from Microsoft site. After installing, you'll see a Resize Pictures context-menu when you right-click an Image file. To select multiple image files, press CTRL key and select the next file(s)

Choose the appropriate dimension you want and click OK. The output file will be created in the same folder. If the original filename is Winter.jpg, the output file name would be Winter (Small).jpg :p

If you want to use your mouse to select an area to copy while you are in a windowed DOS program:

1. Right click on the icon that starts the program
2. Select Properties
3. Click on the Misc tab
4. Check the QuickEdit box

This eliminates the need to select text by using the pull down menu.

Escape Key:

Don't over look the simple ESCAPE key. Among other things,

* You can use ESCAPE to abort a drag (drag and drop).
* You can also use ESCAPE to abort a task switching (ALT+TAB).

Most computer's have a LINE IN port where you can plug in a radio or something. You could use a computer speaker cord for this.

Using the Microsoft Management Console(MMC) to open the Group Editor is a great idea!
You can access many administrative options there. You can set a custom shell application you want to use other than the Windows Explorer.

To run the Group Editor, press WinKey+R to bring up the Run dialog, then type in "gpedit.msc". This will run the MMC opening the Group Editor. Browse around and you can find many options useful!

You can remove addition not so nice effects by Windows at 1st Settings button of the Advance tab of the System properties in the Control Panel which might slow down your computer. Speed up your computer and let nothing lag your computer!

You can edit some registry values in the Windows Registry Editor to remove the Prefetch process during boot and does not create prefect files in the Prefetch folder under Windows.

Can someone enlighten me with the key names? I cant find them after installing the transformation packs.

You can further edit the MSstyle effect in this registry key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Explorer\VisualEffects
