Just thought I'd start a post about PC/Mac hardware, so people wouldn't have to post a bunch of new threads.

Heres my first question: The new GeForce7800GTX has 512MB of RAM on it, wow.. fast, but do games support this yet? Because if I were to buy this in a year, but still want to play my older haves (e.g. Joint Operations), would this still run with 512?

I think they would run with 512MB. Generally speaking I am not sure for 100% but if they manufacture such "creatures", hopefully they will be working fine.

Cool
If I am not wrong, the highest the memory on the videocard, the better. I don't think it will be incompatible with any games, but maybe I am wrong. But one thing I am sure off, that card with that much memory ROCKS, specially if you are into graphics/games design or just gaming.

I cannot wait untill I get this (but it'll take a while, first got to find where I pay for this lol, then I have to pick the system to go with it!). Doom 3 takes full advantage if the 512 card, so that'll be great, I like the game, downloaded the demo (finally my internet is fast enough - 3 hours). When nVidia releases its 512 card, whitch one do you think will be better? 7800GTX 512MB or x1800XL 512MB?

Is an iMac G5 1.9GHz with 1GB RAM and Radeon X600 good for games? Or is the 2.1GHz better?

Well of course the faster processor is always better, but the 1.9 will be plenty I think. I play games on my iBook (1.42 GHz) like Halo, so I think the iMac would be great.

Cool.

The only problem is that the iMac doesn't seem to have any speakers. Does the Duel 2.0GHz or 2.3GHz have any?
