A while ago my friend Chi-Foo told me about a website called Cyber Power System. His friend got a computer from them, and it was great. Everything worked except the HD, but they sent him a new one for free. You can get one gigabyte of ram, nVIDIA GeForce 7800GT and a AMD 3500+ for around $1000!!

After all we have been thru in the last couple of weeks, I would recommend all people here to pay very very close attention to the website or the person you want to buy things from. :Gasp: You know what I mean, so let's not start a new talk here, alright?
So, protect yourself and buy things from places you know you are protected such as ebay, amazon..... or better yet, the real physical store. Also take advantage of the protection Paypal gives and use it wisely.
PS: Dont misunderstood me, I am not saying in any way this website posted here is a scam or something like that. I am just saying to be carefull. :Lips-Are-Sealed:
PS2: Sorry about any mispellings!

Yes, be careful. I am not selling anything to anyone here and no one else should. I have no connection with Cyber Power - I'm just showing you guys a good custom computer place. I think they are cheep because you have to put the computers together yourself. But please, before you buy you should contact the company/person you are buying from and get more info.

So anyway, does anyone think a GeForce 6600 256MB card is good for playing Battlefield 2? And is and AMD 3200+ better then a regular Intel 2.0GHz?

Regarding your question about the graphics card:
Yes, the Nvidia 6600 256MB videocard is good for playing BF2. I have tested it on my current PC that has the 5500 256MB and it runs perfect with good graphics, so I am assuming that I will run more that perfect on the 6600. If you need to be 100% sure, I will be able to tell you next week, after my new custom build pc arrives and I reinstall BF2 on it. It does have the 6600 256 MB, so I will let you know as soon as I test it myself.

Oh, cool thanks! Who are you getting your computer from and how much $ is it? I am looking for a good computer for around $500 - 670 I guess. If I find something better then CyberPower (I don't think I will), I'll buy from them.

I am getting a very very nice pc from a highly trusted ebay powerseller who has his own computer shop there since 2000 and more than 800 positive feedback. Here is his store and here are my new pc's specs!.
PS: I learned my lesson (not buying stuff off msn messenger instead of ebay) the hard way. :Frown: :Grinning-Wink:

Well, I don't consider myself too lucky yet, not until it REALLY arrives, not until I see it myself and test it myself in my home. Hopefully if everything goes alright this time, it will be at my house's front door on Wednesday. Once that happens, I will post a new picture of my desktop on the desktop thread (Yeah yeah, I know that thread is down but if by the time my picture is ready the thread is not back, I'll go ahead and create a new one where everyone can post their wokplace desktop pictures).

Regarding the game perfomance question:
The main components that need to be powerfull in order to play the lastest pc video games are:
CPU: recommended 2.6+, HT
RAM: recommended 1028+
Graphics Card: Nvidia 256 6200+ or ATI X+
The higher they are, the more fun you will have with the newest games!

I just got 1024 RAM for my Dell Dim. 2400 (PC2700), would that work with this computer: http://www.cyberpowersystem.com/highendsys...tra5000.asp?v=d
And with the Processor, I want to get either a AMD 3000+ (problably that) or a 3200+ (problably not). Is that good enough for gaming?
I'm going to get a GeForce 6600 256MB and overclock/tweak it if I do get a system. I problably wont get a system for a year :Frown:
But hopefully I can find a way to convince my parents.
