what is the best free widget program that i can use? i tried avedesk... i wasnt sure how to use it though... but if anyone has any widgets made FOR avedesk, then let me know.

God i hate windows. Thats why my last resort is OS X.

The ones I have tried are Konfabulator, Kapsules and Avedesk. I am currently using Konfabulator for all my favorites dashboard widgets, and I use Avedesk for the desktop icons because it allows me to have bigger and nicer ones, and you can add stuff to it, like disk space left, % used, colored labels and so on...

In conclusion, for me Konfabulator is the best!

If you want to be able to make your own widgets I recommend konfabulator all the rest require you be a programmer it seems. k is just javascript take some widgets apart and see how they work.

I do recommend Konfabulator because of its stability and excellent widgets!

I'll have to agree with the crowd here. Konfab seems like the best choice on the Windows platform simply because of it's reliability, ease of use and the amount of widgets already made for it. Sure it costs money but other people gotta eat too.

Yes I'll have to go with Zillah and the crowd on this. By always Konfabulator is the best Widget application for Windows that I have known of first of all it comes with cool widgets even the Mac OS X Dashboard a like widgets are now for Windows. Not only that it also has good transperancy and good graphics.

Kapsules that's another story I tried it but it wasn't good for me the widgets and all but remember you might have to pay for them but it's to support the creator or the app. I use Konfabulator and always has it's the best.

i got konfabulator!!! and it is great! i just wish there was some sort of dashboard toolbar like they show on the apple site, for konfabulator... hmm... anybody have one?
