The forum seems to be dead now even though this site still received 5000 visitors everyday. Most of the visitors are just want to read or downloading stuff without intention to give back to community.

I'd plan a major changes for osx-e and one of them is by closing the forum. Forums with lack of post is a bad image for any website. I also planning to take osx-e on new direction, perhap open its door for mac user since most of our loyal members have convert to mac. New design and functionality also will be taking place.

I really need feedback from what do you want to see on osx-e in terms of content and functionality.

i still hope that PC users can download softwares get a more of a osx feel....some users like me are forced to used to use a PC

how do you want the downloads section to be? Do you want me to move it to frontpage since we don't have a newsposter staff now and lack of news posted.

For the frontpage, I plan to make it blog style but still have no idea about articles and downloads section. The gallery will remain since there are still some activities there.

I think that forum is helpful when one is emulating but since most that have wanted to have already emulated osx or switched to mac and there is really nothing left to do almost with the emulation that the forum is drying up.
That might change with leopard or not. The forum however is an excellent resource in itself and I think closing it down might not be the greatest idea.
I know I got a majority of my answers from it.

Is sad that the Mac Emulation Community is dying, hell! even i stopped emulating and im soon gonna get a Mac. I was discussing this the other day with Colin, telling him how Osx-e has been dying. Mostly all the posts are for useless threads and not really for helping New Emulators. But Alang if u do delete the Forums Section just try to save the most helpful solutions so people can look for them and find them so it can help them with their issues.

I have also seen that mostly all the screenshots on the Gallery Section arent really as impressive as it used to be, almost everyone is now posting their Computer Desktop pics on DeviantART.com.


I really dont know, what to tell u to do Alang but i do Wish you luck and please make the right choice.

downloads should be on the front page...but i am going to miss the news page....

I've definatly found the forums to be useful and think the most active ones should be kept. Stuff like icons and the latest freeware are of great benefit.

Close the forum? You're nuts! I'll be homeless then. Don't close zeh forum please.

It's your call Alang but I'd really like to see the forums stay open. I know that visitors learn many things here. The people on these forums are special, and I feel privileged to have met them. As Zartheit said, many people (myself included) look to this forum and its members as a second home and family. This attitude has enabled all of us to grow closer together, not as strangers who we meet on the internet, but close friends and family that we will not soon forget. The people of this site have helped others through tough times, whether it be coping with a loss or depression. Laughter, tears, knowledge, and memories have been shared, simply because many people have come together for the common love of Mac Emulation, and found something more than just a helpful website. They found a community where they could discuss macs and still be around respectful, virtuous indivisuals who could later be called friends, and to some, family. The decision is yours to open or close the osx-e Alang. Although the knowledge and information about mac emulation can always be taught and learned, the people of this site have made the stay here all the more worthwhile. Take care and I support whatever decision you make.

if you guys want the forum to remain open, what category you would like to remain and which category that should go. Any new category suggested? But, having a lot of category won't help too much since lack of post.
