After 2 weeks the new site online, I never saw this bugs. But now I know why people sending me lots of email saying that they love the old site more than new site. I just installing zonealarm on my pc today, and suddenly I couldn't see thumbnails or screenshots in download section. Before this, I can see it all without any problem. So I believe this problem is because zonealarm blocking something due to the image is stored in database.

I would like to hear who else face this problem, if majority, I might think to re-design the site again using least database.....

I am also not able to see the pictures...i have to right click and show pic. every time

A lot of people have mentioned the downloads area to be hard to navigate, you could try a similar style to deviant art? They have drop down menus where you can select what you want. For example, you could select, "Panther" -> "Skins" -> "WindowsBlinds" -> Panther Skin
As well as having it like that, you can select for example just "Panther" and it would show all the Panther related downloads. That's an idea to keep everyone happy on the downloads? Just an idea I am also thinking of possible designs you could base the "new" site on if you go ahead with it .

i personally like how the downloads section works right now rather than the old way myself. i also think it would be a good idea to get away from the applish look of the old site and try and create your own imagery. I think the logo up in the top lefthand corner is a GREAT start on that path. think different!!!

YES! Thank you! You are thinking exactly what I was thinking! I suppose the site needs to please everyone though hence I suggested the alternative search/filter function using drop down menus. I'm with careyt on this one, keep original! Nothing to stop you changing the site, but I agree with keeping it original.

...Thank you for your responses...i do understand that apple leagal is very strict...and now that i think about it, this site could be just as nice if it has its own style...so i thought if i put some ideas together and came up with some sort of idea to improve the site(jst some rough ideas...maB ppl. could work off of.. i dunno)...it can be totally disregarded, thas as much as i care...but still...some basic ideas!

I don't see any harm in offering ideas to alang about possible tweaks/layouts. But I mean I wouldn't expect him to completely redesign the site, maybe if we offer some tweaks or extra features he may take them into consideration? I think that sounds fairest to me.

as to the navigation...the ideas posted are good..we could have the 4 OS X names then divide into sections like applicatons and things of that nature..also maby a brushed look applied to the site ?
