Now, I know adverts are essential in the running of the site, and I have no problem with them - but I think their positioning could be more tactful.
I had to scroll down what I would consider to be quite far to see the actual content of the homepage, and in my eyes it makes the site look unprofessional. I would arrange them so that the content is right at the top. I'm sure visitors would be put off when all they can see when they adverts all over the page (they may not realise that they have to scroll down).
I'm sure you'll say, oh we need to have lots to make any money, but I'm sure if you put them alongside the content differently you'll still get the same coverage.
I would like to point out (and i may be completely wrong), that the advertisers would probably pay less for a less central view...personal, i think the adverts are well integrated and unintrusive.

like I told many times before, currently this site is in a process of complete redesign and the new design will be less ads. I will find other ways to fund this site.
