Exclamation Windows Vista Installation
hey

I just want to know this:

I want to install vista on my laptop, i have 3 partitions:

c: (Xp)
D: All apps
f: Music

Would vista let me install on f: (even though xp is not on that one) and will i lose all my data (all drives)

Please, it would help!

you can install vista on primary partition only with at least 15GB free disk space.

Yeah Vista I think will only install on a C partition. Also, Vista will kill your XP CD-Key.

If I were you, backup all your stuff. Format your drive, and do a clean installation.

You can install Vista on any of those partition the layout of where an OS is installed shouldn't matter, thats what the bootloader is for.

Yeah, you can install it in any partition [I installed it on the secondary one]. The thing is that when you are on XP, XP disk is labeled C: and Vista drive is labeled D:; when you are on Vista, Vista disk is labeled C:, and XP drive is labeled D:, i dunno, it's kinda weird...

You know, i have a barnoaflas copy of XP and a barnoaflas copy of Vista, but it don't killed my XP key, both are working fine... about 2 weeks working like this. Of course, automatic updates are deactivated on both OS's.

And you only have to select which OS you want to boot with at the startup...

Just some advice though:

Don't install Vista.

I went back to XP since almost nothing was Vista-compatible, just wait like 4 months lol.

Yeah , Ive worked out the Vista X86 installation , thanks anyway, what about OSX86

is it illegal becuase i know people who use Mac OSX X86 for Pc's

Can you Run Linux SuSe on a Mac running
