I just installed Microsoft Windows Vista Business (activated)

But i don't have AERO (3d stuff)

I know where the theme folder is (c:/WINDOWS/rescourses/Themes)

Could anyone give me the link for the

Aero.Theme (file( windows theme file)

Well...

What Video Card do you use? To get all the 3D stuff you need at least a 128 MB video card...

I have Windows Vista Ultimate activated, but i can't see all the 3D stuff 'cause my Video card is only 64 MB.

You say your Vista doesn't seems to have Aero.theme? Kinda strange, because even though i can't use it, i do have the file.




Anyway if you have a crappy Video Card you can try WindowBlinds 5.5 for the crystal effect and TopDesk for the Flip3D.

It didn't worked for me...

I've made all the registry tweaks, but it's still not displaying Aero.

VIA/S3G Unichrome Pro IGP card (64 MB)

I think that i will finally install my ATI Radeon 9800 (128MB)

But let me know if you find another tweak.

Look if that works for you. Maybe it works with GMA 900.

BTW, bad luck for me.
So I finally installed my new Graphics Card, but it was an ATI Radeon 9250 instead of a 9800... i also added +512MB RAM so i have 1GB RAM now (needed for Aero).





The controller is XDDM! (Xp Device Driver Model) No WDDM controller for me... sh*t!

If someone knows about a Vista controller for this card or a tweak, plz let me know.
BTW, Nylock's tweak it's only for beta and RC versions. Not working on RTM.

Vista is a load of crap. Seriously, any graphics card since 2000 should be able to render the Aero glass effect. Microsoft just sucks at programming and makes it use high specs for some reason. Just switch to Linux, use Beryl and download the Vista theme if you want it so bad. Here are decent specs to run Linux+Beryl, compare them to Vista:

1 GB Processor (as low as 300 MHz in some cases, I've seen it)
256 MB RAM
HD Space? That's decided by which Linux distro you get, can be less than 512 MB though for some.
Video Card Ram - I think it requires 64 MB, maybe 32 MB though.

Yeah I agree with DMXell. I've dumped Windows on my Dell and put Sabayon Linux (w/Beryl and XGL).

I don't know if you can enable glass with an unsupported card.
