It's a widget application. Both Yahoo Widgets and Avedesk (links below) will serve the purpose. The clock is also a widget and there are many other types too, not just icons or shortcuts. I suggest you get Avedesk 2 as it's much more resource efficient than Yahoo Widgets. Have Fun!

Hi there, I'm looking for the same thing. But AveDesk cannot be installed on my pc, dunno why, it just give's an error. So my choice has fallen on Yahoo! Widgets. The thing is, that i just cant find this one, or similar Can anyone help me?

What error does Avedesk give?

And the icons/shortcuts widget is normally available by default.

Here's what error gives.

I don't know anything about this error. There are two things you could try now:
1. Get Avedesk v1.5, It's the last stable build of avedesk (get it at avedesk.org).
2. If step one doesn't help, try posting at Aqua-Soft. There are a large number of active users and developers there, who might be able to help with your problem.

If you want to stay with Yahoo, the shortcut widget should be available by default. You'll have to set the icons yourself, though; so don't expect the same images as in the screenshot above.
