Actually, usage-wise Opera better emulates Safari, but if you just want to copy Safari's looks, then Firefox is better because of the compact menu extension. The reason why Opera better emulates Safari's usage is because Firefox has failed to pass the Acid2 test while as Safari has, and Opera is basically the first windows-based browser to pass it (and only to my knowledge). Also, Safari is rather fast when it comes to a cold startup, and since Opera has been clocked in as the fastest cold startup browser, then you can't do any better than that. Firefox is actually one of the slowest, it has been clocked in at 11 seconds on average.

For the average user with average RAM (256-512) it can take some time, but yeah, after getting more RAM it's faster. About 6 seconds for me at a cold bootup, about 1-2 for a warm bootup.
I wish I had 4 GB of RAM lol. I'm trying to make IE look like Safari now, there's a Styler that can replicate the entire bar and hide the menu, I just need to find a bookmark bar fixer so it looks more authentic. I'll post a guide once I've managed this (I like IE over Firefox because Firefox doesn't load half or more than half the entire page of any website I go to, I have to reload a lot).
