As you all know, Dashboard has been a mayor feature in the newest Mac OS X Tiger release. Many people, including myself, love it and use Konfabulator to simulate it. I want to ask some of the people who are part of our community and have experience doing widgets for konfabulator to create this feature (or widget) for it. For the people who has a Mac, you know that when the dashboard comes up,
there is like an x button in the low left corner, that when you click on it, it shows you the current installed widgets so that you can click on the ones you want to see, and they appear. It also gives you the option to look for more widgets. It would be very nice if someone could do that for Konfabulator, as a widget.
What I mean is to create a widget that when you run it, it looks like
this (X) and when you click on it, it expands so that you can see
this bar that shows the widgets you have (or some of them) and let you click on them to run it. Also, it will show a
button like this that when clicked can redirect you to the konfabulator widget page. It may have, if possible, a feature that can allow the user to add the widgets they want to see on that bar as well.
I don't do it myself because I have no experience doing widgets for Konfabulator, therefore I don't know how difficult can it be. But if someone here decides to give it a try, I will try to help you do it. I can tell you how the real thing works, and I can supply you all the pictures you may need. In fact,
here are all of them. I uploaded pictures of all of the buttons, the widgets icons, the background, as well as 2 full screen shots, so that you can see how it looks on the Mac and have a reference. If someone decides to do it, let me know.
