to get both of the things you want you'll have to edit each icon manually, sadly there isn't any sort of batch modification option. the default settings thing is only going to effect any new icons you add after you edit it.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm seeing now that Avedesk isn't for me. All I really wanted was rounded corner icon labels on my desktop icons. Anyone know any other apps that merely customize the existing icons without replacing them? Thanks again!

there isn't anything like that out there, you could probably do something with the desktop wallpaper, but i dunno how well that would work.

New here, great resource.

Hopefully I'm just not understanding the Avedesk settings, but I can't seem to do the following...

1. Set a size for all my desktop icons. I initially set them to 32x32, but now want 48x48. In the default properties I've changed them to 48x48, saved the theme, loaded the theme, even restarted AD, but I still have to manually change each icon's size. The same applies for the text shadow settings...each one needs individual tweaking. Am I misunderstanding the term "default properties"? Or do these settings only apply to new icons added?

2. Have the icons hide the default file extension. (without manually editing the title of each icon.)

Any help much appreciated!

The setting only apply for the new icon you added after changing the default properties.
