Re: Macbook or Macbook Pro
You'll be pretty happy with that. I have almost the same one but with 1GB RAM, runs pretty well.

Re: Macbook or Macbook Pro
I opted for the higher ram knowing that I open a bunch of stuff at once and hopefully preparing for the future. I want to keep this thing for a few years.

Re: Macbook or Macbook Pro
Depends on if screen size is an issue for you or not. I had to get a pro because for me a screen less then 17" is a no-go, especially since on the macbooks the screens are tiny.

Since you already got the basic macbook I presume that it wasn't really an issue for you. Well, congratulations.

Re: Macbook or Macbook Pro
Yea I thought that would be an issue for me too since I have been using dual monitors but I decided that extra money was more important. and I can always just plug in another monitor if I really want to.

Re: Macbook or Macbook Pro
I plan to go with a Macbook for my college than Macbook Pro. It's just cheaper mainly. I need those same specs: 2 GB RAM and 120 GB HD. But the screen size, while small, is actually for the better. It's much more logical for it to be small since you need it to be portable, and when you get home you can just plug it into a larger monitor. Then there's the whole issue about which laptop of safer. That is, which has less defects. The Macbook Pro seems to take the cake here as well. So you made the right choice! You're only missing out on a slightly faster CPU, larger screen size, and IAlertU (car alarm for the Mac basically).

Re: Macbook or Macbook Pro
Well let me tell you that this MacBook is quite amazing. If you have an ipod and get one download Senuti. It's a must for transferring your music from your ipod to your Mac!

But it took about 5-10 minutes for me to adjust and I'm on my way. I love this thing.

The screen size is just right. I really don't need anything bigger than this and for the price you can't beat it.
