Converting avi to mpeg2
I'm trying to do this on mac os x and I am completely lost on how to do it. Anyone got ideas?

I am trying to do this on windows xp. Anyone got ideas? I know a few methods but they almost invariably result in crappy quality and lots of time wasted...

Yea so that program converted it but now I can't for the life of me figure out how to burn it onto a DVD on Mac OSX???

I tried using iDVD but it just doesn't let me burn it. I just want to put a movie on a DVD LOL.

That program costs $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Plus I don't think it converts those files.

Yea I noticed. It is very expensive and I'm only look to burn an avi movie to a DVD not doing any type of serious burning or anything.

Oh AVI to a DVD? Then you can use iDVD for that. Works great here, you can do a "Magic iDVD". That should work.
