There's no real kick to be got by criticizing it in detached manner, detached as in from you. It's the thought of holding one in your hands and then discussing it in an assumed detached (or not-so detached, by personal preference ) manner that gives the real kick to people. Imagine this conversation,

You: No it isn't.
X: Have you even seen or held one? Huh? Just shut up, you jerk!
You: Uh.
And compare it to this,

X: Hey! The new iPhone is great! Yada yada yada...
You: No, it isn't. It's horrible. As a matter of fact, I have it right now in my pocket and as far as I'm concerned, it's just an extra weight hanging around in there.
X: Uh.
See the difference? That's what drives people to buy producs such as these...
