Smile Re: Official "I Got Mac Hardware Thread"
Well after a long time of been first emulating Mac OS X on Windows, then running it from a virtual machine, and lastly configuring a hackintosh to run it almost fully I have finally come to the decision of buying a real mac and be able to afford it. I bought a MacBook Pro 15", 2.16Ghz, 2GB ram, 120GB of HD, and ATI Mobility Radeon x1600 256MB PCI-E. It should be arriving this Friday, the 8th, and as you probably supposed I can't wait to finally have it on my hands and be able to feel the emotion of opening the box and uncovering such a wonderful and powerful portable mac.

Some of you probably know last week I sold the tablet pc I used for my lastest project (Installing OSX on a TabletPC) and thanks to that, plus a little gift from my mother and a very lucky offer I was able to buy my macbook pro. Believe it or not I bought the machine for $1500 and it is completely new. You read that price and probably won't believe it, well I can't believe it either but I'll confirm that this Thursday.

Well, I just wanted to share with you the news on that, and also take the chance to say hi to my old friends from here since it's been a long time I haven't come around osx-e. Regarding my Mac OS X install guide, I won't be deleting it or anything like that. I know it's been of great help to many people here in osx-e and on the osx86project online communities, and therefore it will stay. If any of you still need any help related to my guide just let me know alright? Take care everyone and I'll be back somewhere this week to confirm on the delivery of my new mac
