Transparent Leopard ObjectBar

Transparent Leopard ObjectBar

This application shows how to modify your ObjectBar theme to emulate Apple’s new transparent Leopard bar This mod is in no way intended to be the finite Leopard emulation. I will not enter into debate as to its accuracy - it is intended to assist those users needing a simple emulation solution.

If you use the Leopard grass background (link) for your desktop, you can make the TigerBar for ObjectBar (Using PhotoShop or any other graphics package) look transparent, but essentially you are using a normal image file.

This gives the ILLUSION of transparency and the downside is that you would need to create a different bar each time you wanted to change the background.

Installation

Download the zipped file containing the graphic elements needed.

BACK UP the theme you are going to change and rename both the new folder and the *.obpack theme (possibly: “Fake_ObjectBar”).

After you have changed your desktop to “Leopard Grass”, replace the graphics in the “skins” folder with these elements and load the theme.

FYI: The zipped file contains: The TigerBar / Spotlight Menu / Spotlight normal & select / TigerApple normal & select / Tiger_FS.

This mod works best with Tiger 10.4 ObjectBar by Pete Ross and Magbi9

Which version of Object bar should I install, that it was not that stupid and slow. I have a good computer so it doesn’t concern my hardware or software.
