Smallville: just tell Yahoo Widget Engine to open it. The computer does not know which program to use even if you tell it. Just say “Open Widget” from Yahoo!

hi everybody,
i had the same problem as Nathan. All i did was that i maked the “use tray hot area” option in Spotlight emulator options. than it stayed locked in position.
works perfectly now!!

That solution doesn’t seem to work either. And I can’t get it to stay above ObjectBar either. OB steals the focus regardless of the Level of Window setting. That and every time I change any setting even from the widget preferences in the task bar, the widget returns to its spawn point.

Sorry for the double post but all you have to do is drag the part that says Drag me around to the taskbar… And the Search part under that… And then right click the little Yahoo! Widget Engine tray icon and go into Widget Preferences and then click GoogleSpotLight then you edit the stuff there and when you click save it doesn’t respawn at the original spot!

Then just edit the settings first and leave Locked Windows Positions Unticked and Drag Me Around text unticked… Best you can do…

hi, i followed the instructions but the spotlight icon still wont lock in position!…the search bar will do no problem but when i click save the spotlight icon just goes back to where is origanlly spawned!…any advice would be appreciated!
