Just don't download it. I tried with the most up-to-date iTunes and it failed to open the program at all. I ran the MPlugin.exe file again to uninstall and then deleted iTunes.exe from my Program Files folder. Then open Programs and Features (On Vista) and go to Uninstall or change a program. Select iTunes and hit repair. Back to normal!

No need to reinstall!

Simply delete itunes.exe and then repair the installation via control panel.

Works like a charm.

Cheers,
Max

Gawd. I've wasted 3 hours of my time trying to put on skins to my itunes only to discover that it won't work. In fairness to the localhost, his program worked well with previous versions of itunes. Unfortunately, he hasn't done any upgrades. So much of this one.

I had same issue here. Here is what I found;

Simply uninstall & reinstall i-tunes.

Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > i-Tunes [Remove].

Than go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and download the latest i-Tunes version again.

Your music shouldn't be lost [The full library should be saved at: C:\Documents and Settings\...\My Documents\My Music\iTunes [you should see the library.itl file inside there].

Hope this helps.
