SmartFlip is a replacement for the Flip3D function in Windows Vista. It places the windows on a circle (it’s actually a ellipsis combined with a parabola)
You can select to which window you want toflip by using the keyboard or the mouse. You can use as a trigger a keyboard key (you can even replace Flip3D, so that SmartFlip appears when you press Win+TAB) or a screen region (for example, the left corner).

Hi people
it is not working with xp
there is a error or something
AVI, this application was made for vista only
cool… it’s just like expose in Mac OSX.

You can’t exactly expect to be taken seriously when you are using a download service, one that you are clearly getting bonus credit for using… kind of a shady thing to do if you ask me.
Great software..
xxdesmus must be on aol and paying $99 a month to some antivirus program to help him protect his computer for attacks on his overpriced windows xp software.

Do you know any freeware that work like this one for XP
Thanks
Excellent idea - way better than Vista’s default Flip 3D.
I’m not sure where to submit bugs : I’m seeing some random window focus shifting when I try to use it with Win+TAB. Also when I release the keys, the correct window gets a focus message (it glows/blinks in the taskbar), but doesn’t actually come to the foreground.
Hi - the archive appears to be corrupted. Vista says “The Compressed (zipped) Folder …. is invalid.”

AVI - It needs Windows Vista.
He knows that. He is asking if anyone knows of something like this that will work on XP.
Dual monitor support is somewhat limited… please have a look at it. Maybe start with the actiation edges, which can’t be set outside the first monitor right now. It would be nice if you could choose between one big circle and two circles, one for each monitor’s windows… And turn the circle by dragging (click-dragging) your mouse horizontally at the bottom of the screen.
Cheers!

[...] For those of us who have started trying out Vista, heres a nice little app that smoothes out some wrinkles. In vista, when you do the flip 3d function, it flips a cube which makes it kind of harder to preview each window. Smart Flip makes it much easier to pick and sift through windows. How do I uninstall this?
btw, it doesn’t work on vista home basic.
@ Senor: I haven’t tested it yet, but you should be able to uninstall it in your control panel [->"Software"]. If you can’t uninstall it here, then head over to the folder in which you have installed it and search for something like “uninstall.exe.”
It can’t work with Vista Home Basic because Home Basic isn’t capable of using Aero, which is necessary for SmartFlip [or the regular Flip3D]
AVI, there’s one for XP called Topdesk, but it’s not free.

this one’s for xp too

Its a cool little program but there are some issues. When you initiate the flip, sometimes the window you have selected remains selected. This will prevent you from doing a quick command like
F9 -> tab, tab, tab. Instead you will have the smartflip view but you will be tabbing within the window that you have selected. To go around this, if it happens, you have to click outside of any the windows in smartflip view, then tab. We don’t need an extra step!!!
Great job though ^_^.

I’m having some problems here, whenever I press F9, all that happens is the screen turns gray and no thumbnails pop up. Any suggestions?
I am having the same problem If you find an answer please fill me in

“ItÂ’s fried rice, you plick!”…
Windows-TAB option doesn’t stick. After reboot it appears the Windows-TAB reverts back to standard Vista task switch. Anyone else seeing same?
Hey everyone.
I am having the same problem as others. i press F9 and it comes up grey. when i hover my mouse along the screen i can see the names of the programs but not the minimized screen shots. do u know what i mean??
I guess you need Windows Aero. Aero is not part of vista Basic.
I doesn´t work without.
