Instantly blank out your desktop and all of your running apps with Dropcloth, a Windows copy of Mac-only application Backdrop.
Dropcloth is a simple application that overlays a solid colored window on top of your desktop. Especially handy for clearing your desktop for screenshots and screencasts, or just getting rid of all the distraction in front of you so that you can focus on just one application without closing out of anything or clearing off your desktop.
System requirements: Dropcloth is Windows only. It’s been developed and tested in Windows XP, but by all accounts it works in Vista without problems.

I don’t understand what this is supposed to do…. all it does is add an opaque black overlay on top of everything…. That seems pretty pointless to me. I thought this was going to Make all the open apps move to the side of the screen, out of view so you can see your desktop.
Help! How do I uninstall it??? “Add or Remove Programs” doesn’t work! Help…
Woops! My bad. I figured it out. Stupid me. I just freaked out and didn’t realize it was still running on the taskbar. For future references, just right-click the taskbar icon, select Exit, and delete the Dropcloth files.
